Summer Reading Program is upon us! For Summer Reading Kickoff information, scroll down.

Here are some answers to questions you may have. Feel free to give us a call at 270-465-2562 with any further questions.

What is the Summer Reading Program?

Summer Reading Program (SRP) is an initiative libraries across the country offer to encourage kids (and adults) to read throughout summer to encourage learning and prevent summer slide (loss of the skills they learned in the last grade they completed). Libraries encourage kids to read and track pages/books/minutes/etc. to earn points towards door prize entries. Many libraries also offer thematic programming based on that year’s program theme.

What is this year’s theme?

The SRP 2022 theme is Oceans of Possibilities. TCPL will offer a variety of programs centered around the ocean/beach, but will also offer other programs.

How can patrons register?

Patrons can register at http://tcplibrary.beanstack.org/ or through the beanstack app and follow the prompts. Adults should register first, then add kids to their account.
