Congratulations on accepting the 2019 Winter Learning Challenge! The goal of this challenge is to earn badges in each learning category. Once you have completed each category and collected the first five badges, you'll automatically earn the sixth and final badge: The Winter Learning Champion badge! You can pick up your collection card bookmark and brochure at the library; anytime you earn a badge, simply place it overtop the matching image on the bookmark.

Maybe you're asking, "OK, but how do we earn badges?" Great question! To receive a badge in each category, you must do the following:

  1. Choose a category where you wish to start; read the instructions listed under the category's image found in your Winter Learning Challenge brochure.
  2. Programs will be listed in our monthly newsletter with a snowflake next to the title identifying the badge that can be earned by attending that program. Some programs will be eligible for more than one badge, but your attendance can only be counted for one badge per program.
  3. Attend programs the provided amount of times (number of program attendance can be found in the specific category description; your attendance will be recorded by a librarian.)
  4. Once you have attended the correct number of programs for the category you chose, speak to a librarian to receive your badge, then begin working on the next category!
  5. Once you have earned all six badges, present the collection card bookmark to a librarian by March 30th to be eligible to win PRIZES!
