We're excited to do something a little different this year in preparation for our Summer Reading Program!

Throughout the month of March we will be accepting submissions from kids and teens to design the official Summer Reading Program bookmark! One lucky artist in each age category will have their bookmark design chosen as the winner. These designs will be included in all Summer Reading registration bags and will also be handed out throughout the summer at library programs!

To enter, follow these guidelines:

  1. Submissions can be made in one of two age categories:
    • Children (11 years of age and under)
    • Teens (12 years of age and over)
  2. Bookmark must measure 2" x 7". Templates are available at the library by asking the circulation desk staff, or by downloading the files at the end of this post.

  3. Color or black and white designs acceptable.

  4. Bookmark design must be submitted between 3/1/19 and 3/31/19. Bookmark design may be submitted in person at TCPL or via email at or Designs submitted after 2 PM on 3/30/19 must be emailed.

  5. The following information should be submitted with bookmark entry:

    • First and last name of person entering

    • Phone number (can be a parent phone number)

    • E-mail (if applicable; can be a parent e-mail)

    • Age of person entering

  6. Must fit Summer Reading Program theme: "A Universe of Stories," which is outer space themed. Winner of each age category must sign a consent form allowing their bookmark to be copied and distributed as part of TCPL's 2019 Summer Reading Program.

  7. Limit of 1 entry per patron.

While a design can be submitted any time in March, we will be having a Bookmark Design Party on Friday, March 8 @ 2:30 PM in the library's Community Room. Feel free to attend! We can't wait to see your designs!
