In appreciation of the role Taylor County Public Library plays in the quality of life in this community, the Friends of the Library provide assistance to the library. 

By exploring American colonists’ consumption of and beliefs about corn, this lecture reveals how corn was a powerful political symbol that English colonists and early United States citizens used to establish an independent national identity.
