In the post Civil War Era, a group of Progressive Shakers developed a women’s rights platform based on their religious beliefs of the duality of God, celibacy, and dual government.

In appreciation of the role Taylor County Public Library plays in the quality of life in this community, the Friends of the Library provide assistance to the library. 

Join us for the Good Earth Garden Club, a monthly program where beginner to expert gardeners grow and craft with plants.

It's that time again! Librarians Melane Hall and Natasha Nall are back at Harden Coffee each second Tuesday for Book Swap!

The Board of Trustees of the Taylor County Public Library meets on the third Monday of each month at 1:30 PM. Special meetings or changes of date in regular meetings will be advertised at least 24 hours before the meeting.

This April our lecture series continues with Morehead State University senior, Taylor Bishop, and his analysis of the Battle of Tebbs Bend where a small force of 200 untried men held their own against an enemy more than double their size.
