TCPL's Temporary Closure - April 20-May 9, 2026

Taylor County Public Library will temporarily close from Monday, April 20-Saturday, May 9, 2026 while we install new furniture and arrange the books. The public is invited to our Grand Opening on Monday, May 11, 2026, between 9 AM-2 PM, at TCPL.

We will offer curbside service during our temporary closure. During regular business hours, contact us for books and more:

Can’t make it during regular business hours? We’ll put your items in our Books Retrieved After Dark (BRAD) Locker! Items are placed in the locker beginning at 5 PM the day you call/email until 2 PM the following day.

Event Details

We want to see your art skills on our Summer Reading Program (SRP) bookmarks this summer! Beginning April 1, submit a bookmark design with the 2026 SRP theme, "Unearth a Story: Desentierra una Historia". 

The age categories for the bookmark contest are as follows:
Children: 0-5 years old
Juniors: 6-11 years old
Teens: 12-17 years old
Adults: 18+ years old

All are encouraged to use mediums such as watercolors, acrylic paint, charcoal, coloring pencils, crayons, or even digital art, as long as the bookmark remains flat.

Pick up a bookmark template at the front circulation desk starting April 1! Submit your bookmark design to us by April 17 for a chance to be one of our official bookmark winners and see your design around the library all summer long! Judging will be completed by May 8 and the winners will be announced on social media.
