TCPL's Temporary Closure - April 20-May 9, 2026

Taylor County Public Library will temporarily close from Monday, April 20-Saturday, May 9, 2026 while we install new furniture and arrange the books. The public is invited to our Grand Opening on Monday, May 11, 2026, between 9 AM-2 PM, at TCPL.

We will offer curbside service during our temporary closure. During regular business hours, contact us for books and more:

Can’t make it during regular business hours? We’ll put your items in our Books Retrieved After Dark (BRAD) Locker! Items are placed in the locker beginning at 5 PM the day you call/email until 2 PM the following day.

Event Details

We are so excited to announce the 2025 Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) at TCPL! This is our second year in a row as a FCBD host. We'll have just-released comics, comics to checkout, plus comics to trade for all ages. Finished with a comic? Trade it with a new friend! All ages are invited.

Come dressed up in your favorite cosplay outfit for our costume judging contest! Cosplay judging will take place at 1:30 PM in the TCPL Community Room. Winners for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will one of the following prizes: Amazon gift card or an Etown Comics gift card! Participants must be at TCPL at 1:30 PM to participate in the cosplay outfit competition.

Come create your own comic book using our art supplies, make buttons with our button maker, play games, and enjoy the company of those who love comics as much as you do. No sign up needed!
