How We Serve Our Community's Teens

Our Young Adult Services have expanded significantly to offer regular events for the middle and high school students of our community. Our Youth Services Librarian, Kimberly Burton, targets students between ages 12-18 with a variety of programs. These include educational (ACT preparation sessions, monthly book discussion groups, weekly tutoring) as well as artistic (Teen Cooking Club, crafting sessions).

Community service opportunities are also frequently provided to encourage young people to help others. Additionally, we have a wide array of YA literature cataloged, including fiction, nonfiction, biography, audio books, and graphic novels (manga, comic books, etc.). We encourage our young patrons to take advantage of the many services we offer!
