Our Mission:

Our Young Adult Services have expanded to offer regular events for middle and high school students in our community. Our Youth Services Librarian, Kimberly Burton, creates programs to reach students between the ages 12-18 years old. These include educational (ACT preparation sessions, monthly book discussion groups, weekly tutoring) as well as creative (crafting sessions, 3rd Space, Writopia).

Community service opportunities are also frequently provided to encourage young people to help others. Additionally, we have a wide array of YA literature cataloged, including fiction, nonfiction, biography, audio books, and graphic novels. We encourage our young patrons to take advantage of the many services we offer!

We love to celebrate! Above, teens participate in a Halloween Costume Party!

Adult volunteers helped participants in our Teen Sewing Class make their own pillow cases.

We host field trips from local middle and high schools to showcase all that the library has to offer, and of course... play games!

Our annual Community Gift Wrapping is a service that allows teens to volunteer by wrapping Christmas presents brought in by members of the community!
