June Staff Reading Recommendations

This month's staff recommendations come from Cindy Williams, Circulation Clerk at TCPL. Take note of these titles in anticipation of our new cozy mysteries book club, scheduled to begin in August!

I have been an avid reader for decades. While I love classic literature, novels, suspense, and children's books (I was a kindergarten teacher), my heart belongs to the mystery. I love a really good "who done it". You can't go wrong with classic writers such as Agatha Christie, Dorthy L. Sayers, Rex Stout, or Elizabeth Peters.

Also, the genre that has really taken off in recent years is the cozy mystery. These are mysteries that are slightly humorous and have little sex or violence. Our new cozy mysteries book club, "Bones & Scones", starts on August 15, 2017, and will meet the third Tuesday of every month at 3:00 pm. Our first book will be The Calamity Cafe by Gayle Leeson. The library will have two copies of the book plus six kindles with the eBook that you can check out. The cozy queen, Sarah Hampton, and I are really excited about this and hope you will join us.

For more details on this new book club, feel free to e-mail Cindy or Sarah
